Through a partnership with American Fundraising Foundation, AmFund, Tibbits Opera Foundation & Arts Council will offer eight travel experiences to destinations all over the world for bidding November 4 at its 44th annual auction—The Price is Right.
AmFund is a Florida-based 501(c)3 focused on meeting the fundraising needs of non-profits all over the country. This year AmFund will support over 600 non-profit organizations. According to Tibbits Development Director, Andrew French, “Tibbits is very happy to be the newest addition to the AmFund family.”
Since its inception in 1999, the AmFund has distributed more than $50 million to worthy causes. Its signature silent auctions featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences are presented at special events, drawing excitement and elevating the event for the community.
AmFund’s logo includes the Golden Pear which is deeply rooted in history as well as the organization’s mission. Throughout history, even before the written word, the pear has been honored as a sacred fruit signifying wisdom, prosperity, good health, longevity, and future happiness – all the things AmFund seeks for its nonprofit partners.
At Tibbits Auction, AmFund will present eight travel experiences. “These excursions to places like Italy, Greece, Scotland, Costa Rica, Croatia, Iceland, Alaska, and the Napa Valley will add excitement, opportunity and enthusiasm to this year’s auction,” says French. “We look forward to seeing a full house at our Price is Right-Themed event!” AmFund will bring 6 trips to be a part of the silent auction, and two for the live auction. The totally in person event will feature over 100 items in the silent auction, as well as games to play for prizes that include gift cards and certificates from area businesses.
Games, food, and silent auction begin at 6pm. The live auction begins with a “Price is Right” game at 7pm and is followed by more games and silent auction bidding. Admission is $10 per person and includes hors d’oeuvres and a ticket for the first game or adult beverage. Additional game or beverage tickets will be $5 each. Auction raffle tickets offer a chance to win $1000, $250 or Tibbits Summer Theatre season ticket for $10 per ticket.
