Critter Barn Live Nativity; Tonight and Tomorrow – December 22 and 23; Various times throughout the day and evening

There is always so much life and action going on at the Critter Barn! And the holidays are no exception! For 24 years the Critter Barn has been celebrating the birth of Jesus with a beautiful and touching live nativity presentation. Your children will be captivated by this authentic barn setting, and witness angels and shepherds as they pay homage to the Holy Family and the newborn Jesus. Live, personal, up close and very real!   Afterwards, enjoy strolling the barns visiting the sheep, donkeys, rabbits, goats and cows, who are all eager to have a little company and share in the Christmas magic too!. 

Grand Rapids Children’s Museum; WInter Break, December 22, 23, 26-30 and January 2 – 6; 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Every day is something new and different at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum.  So much to do!  So little time!  Except you do have time! – Every…Single…Day…all throughout Winter Break there will be loads of activities and performances going on that will entertain and delight your children and challenge their young minds and budding creativity. Various artists will help little hands create and learn about art, others will be molding clay in the clay studio or coloring room.  Some will be hosting dance parties or magic shows or teaching about West Michigan’s jewels of Africa. And if you happen to visit today or tomorrow the kids can participate in making a last minute Holiday gift. The GIft Works project – Make it, Take it, Give it –  is featuring making your very own photo frames this weekend. Admission starts at $ 9.00, but if you’re looking for that perfect last minute gift, how about a family membership to the museum!  

Allegan Event – A Night With The Green Guy;  December 22, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

The Green Meanie – possibly the biggest and most loveable sourpuss ever – will be wandering and exploring and zipping his way all throughout  the fun and games at the Allegan Event tonight from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. It took him a while to come around, but the Grinchs’ heart eventually grew three sizes and now he’s eager to spread lots of holiday cheer, in true lovable Green guy style. This promises to be a unique holiday experience – play time and fun time and goofy Grinch time all rolled into one, with many crazy photo ops along the way. Advance tickets, which are discounted, are recommended so you can secure your spot and pick your events, but you can also purchase tickets at the door.  Don’t be a grouch and miss out on all the merriment and fun – The Green Guy is waiting, just for you!
