John Ball Zoo, Local Businesses Partner To Raise Funds For Wildlife Conservation

There are multiple opportunities to contribute to the preservation of wildlife and wild places this Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
John Ball Zoo is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to animal care and inspiring the community to be actively engaged in conservation through fun, meaningful and inspiring educational experiences, community events and experiences that can’t be found in books, TV or online.
“John Ball Zoo is incredibly grateful for the community’s support, and the work we do to support wildlife conservation, educational opportunities and economic impact in Grand Rapids and beyond,” said Gina Schulz, chief advancement officer at John Ball Zoo. “Donations made on Giving Tuesday and year-round help create a better world for both animals and people.”
There are multiple ways to give to John Ball Zoo, including making a donation through the Zoo’s website in any amount or texting ZOO to 99192 to make a donation through a mobile phone.
The Zoo is also partnering with two local businesses for contributions to wildlife conservation. Lantern Coffee Bar & Lounge will donate a percentage of every purchase Nov. 24-26 to John Ball Zoo. Donkey Taqueria will donate $2 from every purchase of Taco Al Pastor or Taco De Hongos on Nov. 28.
