John Ball Zoo will deliver more than 750 donated teddy bears it collected to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. The stuffed animals were collected in honor of Yogi, a brown bear who was humanely euthanized at the Zoo this month due to arthritis from his advanced age. The stuffed animals will comfort children as they heal or undergo medical procedures at the hospital. Both John Ball Zoo and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital staff will be available for interviews.
