Puzzle solvers and local historians will have a chance to experience the Hackley House in a truly unique way beginning May 29. On select evenings this spring and fall, the Hackley House Attic Escape Room will challenge visitors to 'escape' by solving puzzles, locks, and riddles that reveal Muskegon's rich history.

This one-of-a-kind experience allows participants to explore Muskegon’s storied past while racing against the clock. With just 80 minutes to escape, teams of up to 10 players per session are challenged to uncover hidden clues and unravel the mysteries of the historic Hackley Attic.

“The Hackley Attic Escape Room experience is much-loved by guests each year, and we're excited to bring it back for the 2026 season,” said Erin Schmitz, Muskegon Historic Sites Director. “It's a unique, engaging, memorable way for guests of all skill levels to discover the rich history of Hackley House."

Tickets for this season’s tours are already moving quickly. June 26, June 27, and September 26 are fully sold out, and remaining dates are expected to fill fast. Community members are encouraged to secure their tickets early to ensure their preferred tour date is available.
