Kalamazoo Institute of Arts – RAD Fest – February 29 to March 3; 

It’s the 15th anniversary of RAD Fest on February 29-March 3 at the Kalamazoo Institute of the Arts and other Kalamazoo locations. RAD stands for Midwest Regional Alternative Dance and features the work of over 50 juried choreographers, filmmakers, movement artists and dance educators from all over the world.  The RAD Fest will include a whole lineup of concerts, screendance and movement presentations, master classes, artist talks and interaction discussions. The arts come alive through dance and the RAD fest features the best in modern, post-modern and contemporary dance from all over the country.  Don’t wait to buy your tickets – they are on sale now.

GR Children’s Museum – Grrr…ific Exhibit; January 27 thru May 12 

You too can join Daniel Tiger’s neighborhood and his merry friends at the newest Grand Rapids Children’s Museum exhibit.. And, as always, it is a super fun place for children and totally…GRRR…IFIC! Daniel the Tiger guides children through this highly creative immersive experience where kids will learn how to work together to solve problems.  Imaginations will be on full ‘roar’ as they visit the clock factory, playing with various types of clocks and working with other kids to make them tick. Budding artists and musicians will love playing with the one-of-a-kind musical instruments and hearring Daniel sing or writing something special for the Thank-you Tree. There is even a neighborhood Post Office where they can practice sorting, delivering and receiving mail – along with all the other engaging GRRR…. ATE’ activities this gem of a museum has to offer.
