If you enjoy craft beers- you’re invited to join Guardian Brewing Company’s monthly Beer School class this Wednesday, October 19th in Saugatuck. October’s class focuses on exploratory and weird styles of beer. You’ll learn all the history and nuances behind Experimental Beer Styles, as well as what constitutes uncommonly flavored beers, and who is making them well. This hour long class begins at 7 pm and also includes six 4-ounce tasters of different beer styles. You’ll want to buy your tickets soon, as seats are limited.

This Sunday, October 16th, River St Joe and Flatwater Farms are hosting a Fun Fall Family Day in Buchanan! Visitors will be able to ride on a complimentary hayride around the farm and witness the beautiful changing colors of the season. There will also great events and competitions, like the Kids Pumpkin Painting Contest, the Adult Pumpkin Carving contest, and the children’s Halloween costume parade! And of course, guests will be able to enjoy great food and drink specials all day long. You won’t want to miss out on this fall family celebration!

This is a cool one – next weekend the Midwest Canine Obstacle Run is taking place in Benton Harbor on Saturday, October 22nd. Located at The Woods Fitness Park, this is a 5k run with over 40 obstacles that you will do alongside your furry companion. You’ll go through wooded trails, challenging obstacles, and maybe a little bit of dirt and water, but having the time of your lives with your pet.  All participants will receive a Midwest Canine Obstacle Run t-shirt and a finisher’s medal. Even if you don’t want to run yourself – be sure to grab a Spectator pass to watch all the fun.
