The Gilmore Car Museum Brings Back the Roaring Twenties With Their ‘Pint With The Past’ Fundraiser

Guests will be able to experience vintage cars and special exhibits while sipping some of Michigan’s most popular breweries, distillers and vintners.

The Gilmore Car Museum announces today their “Pint with the Past” event, the second promotional occurrence of 2024. Attendees will experience a journey back to one of the most important decades in American automotive history through special exhibits, museum galleries and vintage cars.

“The Gilmore is first and foremost a museum so it’s always exciting to revisit history through the lens of automobiles,” said Michael Spezia, Executive Director of the Gilmore. The 1920s played a pivotal role in the rapid expansion of the automobile industry, thanks largely to the number of jobs created, which also helped sustain economic prosperity. “That trend reached a peak in 1929 when more than 330,000 people were employed at automobile dealerships across the country.” added Spezia.

To help recreate some of the allure of the Roaring Twenties, there will be live music, libations and tasty appetizers. Attendees will sip and savor their way through some of Michigan’s most prominent breweries, distillers and vintners while enjoying the sounds of local favorite Out of Favor Boys. Guests can also enjoy the easy-listening music of guitarist, Jack Dastoli, in the muscle car gallery.
