South Haven Visitors Bureau Purchases Property Downtown

The South Haven/Van Buren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) purchased a high-traffic parcel of land in downtown South Haven, located on the southwest corner of Phoenix and Broadway this afternoon.

“We are very excited about the potential of this new property,” said Jennifer Sistrunk, Executive Director of the South Haven/Van Buren County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Both our Board and staff are thrilled about this purchase and we believe this parcel can be used in a variety of ways that align with our strategic plan. While we’re not finalized on what form the land will take, our team will ensure this property is developed to support our mission and benefit both residents and visitors.”

The visitors bureau says that while they are still finalizing plans for what the land will be used for, the CVB will be engaging with their members to plan the property development. Members of the CVB include area hotels, bed and breakfasts, resorts, vacation homes, and campgrounds.

“Our primary goal with this purchase is to enhance South Haven as a destination. We’re committed to both supporting the economic vitality of our community and ensuring that everyone can enjoy the charm and allure of South Haven,” said Sistrunk.
