Description
Ever wonder how people traveled around West Michigan before the automobile? One way was the railroad!

All aboard for a trip back in time on our vintage passenger train! Located midway between Grand Rapids and Muskegon, the Coopersville & Marne Railway offers 90-minute train rides between our namesake towns. Our train includes century-old coaches along with 1950’s era locomotives. And the right of way that we follow dates back to an 1848 charter for the Oakland and Ottawa Railroad. Our station is located at 306 Main Street in historic downtown Coopersville, Michigan.

The Coopersville & Marne Railway offers numerous vintage train excursions, as well as specialty Theme Trains throughout our operating season. Theme Trains include Bunny Trains at Easter time; a Veterans’ Troop Train on Memorial Day, Great Train Robbery events, Murder Mystery Trains, Pumpkin Trains, and Santa Trains.

In addition to our regular train schedule, we also provide private charter train rides for group events, weddings, etc. We offer the assistance of an event coordinator to work with your group.

Our passenger season begins in March and continues through Christmas. For schedule information please visit https://www.cpmy.net. We can also be contacted by telephone at 616-997-7000.
