Our wineries have been making waves on the global stage, proving that this region is a force to be reckoned with in the world of wine. In the past year, our vintners have brought home numerous awards and accolades in both national and international wine competitions, setting new standards of excellence in winemaking.

Among the prestigious competitions where Leelanau wineries have shone, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition stands out. Good Harbor Vineyards was the standout winner, securing the Best of Class for its non-vintage Blanc de Blanc and its 2021 Chardonnay in a specific price category. They also walked away with several gold, silver, and bronze medals, showcasing their exceptional craftsmanship.

But the accolades don’t stop there. Wineries like Aurora Cellars, Black Star Farm’s, Boathouse Vineyards, Ciccone Vineyard, French Valley Vineyard, and Leelanau Cellars also earned their well-deserved recognition, proving the incredible diversity and quality of wines produced here.

In the 2023 Texsom competition, our wineries continued their winning streak, with Aurora Cellars, Bel Lago Vineyards and Winery, French Valley, and Good Harbor Vineyards securing gold medals. The silver medal list included Amoritas Vineyards, Aurora Cellars, Bel Lago, Boathouse Vineyards, Ciccone, and Good Harbor Vineyards. These awards not only reflect the quality of our wines but also our region’s growing reputation in the global wine community.

In the exclusive Jefferson Cup Invitational Wine Competition, Aurora Cellars achieved the highest honor with the coveted Jefferson Cup, receiving three top honors. Good Harbor Vineyards and Two K Farms also received prestigious awards, cementing our wineries’ status among the best in the world.

Our wineries have not only been collecting awards but also gaining recognition in other areas. Leelanau wineries have earned high ratings from international publications, with four wineries receiving 91 ratings from Wine & Spirits magazine.
