A celebration of craft brews in northern Michigan starts Friday with Traverse City Beer Week. Beginning November 8, and running until Saturday, November 16, the event uses a mobile passport to give a self-guided tour of breweries and cideries.
The mobile passport offers discounts or other Beer Week specials. Those who check into five participating locations on the mobile passport can earn a knit winter Beer Week hat. The prize can be claimed at the Traverse City Visitor Center while supplies last. Additionally, those staying at Traverse City Tourism member lodging properties can enter to win one of two packages valued at $1,000 each. The first prize is a package at the 2025 Michigan Beer & Brat Festival at Crystal Mountain. The second is a 2025 Suds & Snow Festival Package at Timber Ridge.
“The craft beverage scene is nothing short of remarkable,” said Traverse City Tourism President, Trevor Tkach (Tah-COTCH). “Combine the beverages with amazing food from locally sourced ingredients, and participants are capturing special experiences.”
Some highlights of Beer Week include:
- Geek Trader Market – November 8th – Right Brain Brewery
- Flapjack and Flannel Festival – November 9th – Timber Ridge
- IPA Challenge – November 14th – The Little Fleet
Beer Week participants are encouraged to take their time and savor the flavors of the quality brews, ciders, and the foods that pair with them. Drink responsibility and take full advantage of designated drivers, taxis, Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA), bike trails, and drive services.
