The Mt. Pleasant Area Convention  and Visitors Bureau (MPACVB) is pleased to announce the 2024 Destination  

Development Fund Recipients. 

The MPACVB encourages and supports development of the area’s attractions,  

events, amenities, hospitality services, and other related tourism projects. The  

MPACVB primarily focuses on projects that support sports tourism and general  

community support and have the capability to generate visitors, related or new  

spending, or a higher quality of place. 

Past projects the MPACVB has helped fund include Art Reach of Mid-Michigan’s  

Paint the Pavement event, little league lights, volleyball equipment and basketball  

rims at Morey Courts, improving erosion, adding canoe launches, wayfinding  

signage in Deerfield Nature Park, and more.  

 

The MPACVB is excited to announce the following project and recipients for  

Destination Development Grants for 2024: 

• Art Reach of Mid-Michigan: $5,000 for Paint the Pavement 2025 

• Chippewa Watershed Conservancy: $2,700 Reprinting Chippewa River Trail  

Maps 

• City of Mt. Pleasant: $25,000 for Town Center Public Restrooms 

• Isabella County Parks & Recreations: $4,650 for new gates at Pere Marquette  

Rail Trail 

• For Art’s Sake: $5,000 for Market for the Arts 

• Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum: $3,500 for Okaya, Japan Exhibit  

Improvements 

• Morey Courts Recreation Center: $65,000 for Morey Courts Revamp &  

Bleachers 

• City of Mt. Pleasant Parks & Rec: $4,490 for posts and netting for Yost Park 

• Mt. Pleasant Little League: $5,000 for improving batting cages at Pickens  

Field

The MPACVB is proud to have invested over $424,386 back into the Isabella County
