He’s the reigning “Best Magician in His Family” two years running, and Jonathon LaChance is set to bring his comedy magic show back to Tibbits with a festive flair for the holiday season.

Tibbits Opera House welcomes LaChance back to the historic venue, along with his aptly titled “Christmas Magic Show” on Friday, December 19, at 7:00 p.m. LaChance last appeared at Tibbits in the summer 2025 Popcorn Theatre season, with his show, “Unbelievable Comedy Magic.”

This family-friendly performance blends illusions, warm holiday charm and LaChance’s signature comedy into a heartwarming Christmas experience for audiences of all ages. Audiences can expect seasonally themed illusions, crowd participation and more.

Whether audiences are starting a new tradition or looking for a joyful night out, this holiday show is the perfect way to celebrate the season with a nationally renowned magician at one of Michigan’s most cherished venues.

Tickets for this one-night performance range from $10 to $30 including fees, and can be purchased online at Tibbits.org, at the door, or by visiting the Tibbits office at 93 W. Chicago St., Coldwater, MI. Doors will open one hour prior to show time, with seating beginning 30 minutes prior to show time.  Tibbits Ghost Light Bar will be available for refreshments throughout the proceedings, and runtime is approximately 90 minutes, plus intermission.

Jonathon LaChance is a comedy magician known for bringing laughter and wonder to audiences across the country. His Christmas show features festive illusions, seasonal surprises and the same energetic performance style that has taken him to national television, including Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Masters of Illusion, NBC’s Today Show, ABC and PBS.

From its opening in 1882, Tibbits Opera House has brought touring artists to the community of Coldwater, Michigan, and continues that tradition nearly a century and a half later with musicals, plays, concerts, cultural events, movies and more, in service to arts lovers of all ages.
