Fans of Paul McCartney, whether they enjoy his time with The Beatles, with Wings or his extensive solo career, are invited to come experience a night at the ‘Rock Show,’ as The McCartney Years, a tribute to the music of Paul McCartney and Wings, arrives at the historic Tibbits Opera House on Saturday, May 10 at 7:30pm.
The McCartney Years has been touring for 17 years, and has been called by The Beatles US promoter Sid Bernstein the “best on the scene today.” The band describes itself as the most faithful reproduction of a mid-1970’s Paul McCartney show that you’ll find. The band utilizes the same make and model instruments McCartney’s original band used, including the legendary Rickenbacker bass, Steinway piano, and Ovation acoustic guitars, and each song is also played true to its original arrangement.
Led by Yuri Pool (Paul McCartney) on bass, piano, vocals and guitar, together with his wife Jennifer Pool (Linda McCartney) on keyboard and vocals, The McCartney Years promises an unforgettable evening, with instantly recognizable hits such as Hey Jude, The Long and Winding Road, Yesterday, Jet, Band on the Run, Maybe I’m Amazed, Lady Madonna, Live and Let Die, and many, many more.
Plus, for those who really want to get up and groove, Tibbits is making available an “On Your Feet” section, for those who wish to stand and/or dance through the show without having to worry about bothering other concert-goers. Tickets for this section are demarcated on the ticketing page for The McCartney Years at Tibbits.org.
Tickets for The McCartney Years range from $25 to $54, including fees, with discounts available for Tibbits members. The performance will be held at the historic Tibbits Opera House, 14 S. Hanchett St., in Coldwater, Michigan. Doors to the lobbies, art gallery and Ghost Light Bar will open at 6:30pm, with seating beginning at 7pm.
From its opening in 1882, Tibbits Opera House has brought touring artists to the community of Coldwater, Michigan, and continues that tradition nearly a century and a half later with musicals, plays, concerts, cultural events, movies and more, in service to arts lovers of all ages.
