Whether you’re an Elphaba or a Galinda, you’re encouraged to grab your broom—or your wand—and come to Tibbits Opera House on Saturday, April 12, for the theatre’s special screening of Wicked.

In addition, moviegoers are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character, and join the party at Tibbits in the Ozdust Ballroom starting at 5:30pm. The movie gets underway at 6pm, and while no outside food or beverage is allowed in the theatre, a cash bar will be available.

In this long-awaited adaptation of Act I of the Tony Award winning Broadway classic, we meet Elphaba, possessed of great power but ridiculed for her green skin, and Galinda, ambitious, popular, and…blonde. A chance meeting at Shiz University will change not only their lives, but all of Oz as what happens there will forge their destinies and set them on the paths that will change them For Good. Nominated for 10 Academy Awards, this film invites you to hear the real story of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked is rated PG for some scary action, thematic material and brief suggestive material.

Tickets for the film are by donation, and can be reserved at Tibbits.org, by calling 517-278-6029, or by visiting the Tibbits administration office at 93 West Chicago St., Coldwater. This film is generously sponsored by Matthew C. Christopher, DDC, PC, of Coldwater and Union City.
