Get ready to recapture the magic of the holiday season, as Tibbits Opera House hosts a special screening of The Polar Express on Saturday afternoon, December 13, at 2:00 p.m.
The beloved 2004 film follows a young boy from Grand Rapids, Michigan, who is beginning to doubt his belief in the magic of Christmas. As he is whisked away for an unforgettable ride on The Polar Express, he and other children encounter mysterious characters and tests of courage, and he experiences moments that challenge his skepticism about the holiday spirit.
Nominated for three Academy Awards, and starring Tom Hanks, Chris Coppola, and Michael Jeter, this heartwarming film celebrates the magic of the holidays for all who believe.
More than just a movie, Tibbits also welcomes moviegoers to be there early for a special hot chocolate bar, starting at 1:00 p.m. Cost for the hot chocolate bar is $5 at the door, and tickets for the film are by donation.
Tibbits also wishes to thank Kiwanis Club of Coldwater for volunteering to serve hot chocolate to attendees before the show.
In addition to The Polar Express, Tibbits will continue getting into the holiday spirit with a screening of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, on Saturday afternoon, December 20.
The Polar Express is rated G, and is suitable for all audiences.
Tickets for the film are by donation, and can be reserved at Tibbits.org, by calling 517-278-6029, or by visiting the Tibbits administration office at 93 West Chicago St., Coldwater.
