Lake Odessa Area Arts Commission Art in the Park, Saturday, August 3; 9:00 - 4:00 p.m.

  • Art in the Park is happening this Saturday, at the Lake Odessa Village Park on lovely Jordan Lake. And it's an easy jog down I-96, only 39 minutes south of Grand Rapids, so no excuses to just sit home when over 127 artisans are waiting to wow you with their unique creations. This annual event, from 9-4 p.m.,  is filled with lots of lively small-town fun with the Lakewood High School band and choir and a local dance studio performing, as well as many local bands and musicians. Be sure to take the kiddos to the Make and Take Zone for craft activities from 9:00 - 2:00 p.m. with a special drumming and rhythm activity with Josh Dunigan at noon. And what is a day in the park without food?  The Food Truck Hub will satisfy your every craving or bring a sack lunch and find a shady spot to enjoy the day.

Unity Christian Music Festival- August 7th - 10th

  • The Unity Christian Music Festival is back with 20 different Christian bands from around the country performing from August 7th through the 10th. There is an opportunity for prayer and each day kicks off with inspiration from the Unity Praise Choir. Billed as the family affordable event of the summer this Muskegon festival is perfect for the whole family and children under 5 are free. Great food vendors come from around the state and Meijer once again hosts their affordable food tent and Country Dairy is providing ice cream.
