The Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Center announces the opening of Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits, an immersive, adrenaline-filled exhibition that takes visitors into the heart of extreme sports. Developed by Science North in partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, this highly interactive experience explores the science, psychology, and physicality behind some of the world’s most daring athletic feats.

Visitors will delve into the mental and physical preparation of elite athletes who push beyond perceived human limits in wingsuit flying, parkour, ice and rock climbing, free diving, and more. Through hands-on, multimedia, and creative challenges, guests of all ages can:

  • Compete in physical and mental tests alongside family and friends.
  • Hear personal stories from athletes who have overcome obstacles in their high-risk sports.
  • Learn from researchers, innovators, and rescue professionals working in the field of extreme sports.

From breathtaking heights and depths to rapidly changing terrain and unpredictable weather, Extreme Sports showcases the intense training, focus, and risk management that define these disciplines.

Extreme Sports is a high-energy, hands-on experience that brings science and adventure together,” said Seth Welton, Air Zoo Marketing & Communications Manager. “It’s designed to captivate guests of all ages with incredible stories, cutting-edge research, and the perfect blend of education and fun.”

The exhibit is open now through October 31 and is generously sponsored by Outfront Media. Learn more at airzoo.org/extreme.
