In the upcoming production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), four actors
will reenact all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays.

Lowell Arts is happy to announce the cast of the upcoming theatre production of The  Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, & Jess Winfield. This fast paced, comedic play has actors portraying the many characters from Shakespeare’s expansive body of  work. The production will feature: Dan Braker, Sarah Brinks, Mike Golczynski, and Colin McNaughton.

“This cast is amazing!” said Sandy Kirchinger, Director of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare  (Abridged) at Lowell Arts. “The actors play 10 to 12 roles each – with costume changes, funny wigs, and  even fake breasts! Whether you like Shakespeare or not, you will be laughing.”

The cultural touchstone that is The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) was born when  three inspired, charismatic comics, having honed their pass-the-hat act at Renaissance fairs, premiered  their preposterous masterwork at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1987. Featured are all 37 of Shakespeare’s  plays, meant to be performed in 97 minutes, by three actors. Fast paced, witty, and physical, it’s full of  laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike.

“Everyone has heard of Shakespeare, and most have at least read at least one of his plays – even if it was  only Romeo and Juliet in high school,” says Laurel Conrad, Program Director at Lowell Arts. “As someone  who had seen many YouTube videos in the late 2000s of performances and sketches that would someday  become what Complete Works is today, it makes me happy to be able to come full circle on one of my  teenage interests. I am beyond excited to be presenting Adam, Dan, and Jess’s finished product as part of  our season.”

See the hard work of this cast and crew in the gallery-turned-theatre at Lowell Arts (223 W Main St, Lowell,  MI) for this side-splitting production on October 16, 17, 18 & 23, 24, 25, 2026. Be advised, as the Bard is not  subtle and these players even less so, Lowell Arts has rated The Complete Works of William Shakespeare  (Abridged) at PG-13, with recommended ages of 13+.
