Calling all amateur sleuths! The Hackley and Hume Historic Site is turning its historic grounds into the scene of a mystery this September with Clue Live, a real-life team challenge inspired by the classic game.
Teams of four will work together to solve the case, gathering clues to determine who committed the crime, where it occurred, and which weapon was used, just like the board game version. The first team to piece it all together wins.
Space is limited to five teams of four guests per session, so early registration is encouraged. Check-in takes place at the City Barn (carriage house), located between the Hackley and Hume Houses. Free parking is available on Webster Avenue and 6th Street. Intoxicated patrons will be refused admission and will receive no refund.
“The mansion transforms into a playable environment, and guests must navigate the rooms just like the board game,” said Erin Schmitz, Historic Sites Director for the Lakeshore Museum Center. “There's a different kind of energy in solving a mystery inside rooms that have witnessed nearly a century of real history."
