The Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (MPACVB) is pleased to announce the 2025 Destination Development Recipients.

The MPACVB encourages and supports development of the area’s attractions, events, amenities, hospitality services, and other related tourism projects. The MPACVB primarily focuses on projects that support sports tourism and general community support and have the capability to generate visitors, related or new spending, or a higher quality of place.

  • Mt. Pleasant Municipal Airport: $1,000 for airport car maintenance
  • Market for the Arts: $2,500 for event support
  • Broadway Theatre: $2,235 for improved audio equipment
  • Isabella County Parks & Recreation: $5,000 for establishing number of trails and trail loops at Meridian Park, trial markers, help naming the trails, and map reprints
  • Art Reach of Mid-Michigan: $5,000 for Paint the Pavement event support
  • Mt. Pleasant Parks & Rec: $7,114 for two years for crowd control barriers to help with events downtown
  • Chippewa Watershed Conservancy: $7,500 for two years for parking lot construction at Hubscher Preserve off M-20
  • City of Mt. Pleasant: $21,863 for helping construct a fire pit in Town Center
  • Mid-Michigan College: $20,000 for five years to help with new event center and naming rights for new turf room
  • Union Township: $20,000 for feasibility study for new athletic fields
  • Morey Courts Recreation Center: $38,000 for iPad and new chairs for dining area
