Summer fun continues at the Michigan Maritime Museum with the return of its most anticipated entertainment event of the year: Rock the Boat V, taking place on Friday, August 21, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

Now in its fifth year and bigger than ever, this high-energy fundraiser takes full advantage of the Museum’s boardwalk and waterfront campus—offering more space to dance, mingle, and soak up the electric atmosphere. With live music, food, drinks, and non-stop fun, Rock the Boat V promises to be the liveliest party of the summer.

Back by popular demand, The 1985 returns to deliver another unforgettable night of iconic ‘80s hits. Dig out your leg warmers, tease up your hair, and get ready to sing and dance along to the ultimate throwback soundtrack—complete with a dazzling light show and immersive experience.

On-site food and cash bar will be provided by Jay Marcoux of Chalkboard Kitchen Catering, our in-house caterer.

  • VIP Tables: $1,000 per table of 8

  • Very Important Boat Experience: $2,500 for up to 15 guests with exclusive access to the dock and deck of tall ship Friends Good Will with Captain and crew at your service. Beer and wine stocked on board to your preferences, accompanied by a curated selection of elevated nibbles.
