Unity Christian Music Festival, August 5-8, Muskegon & Great Lakes Surf Festival, August 8th, Muskegon, 12:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 

There are lots of reasons to visit Muskegon this month, starting with the Unity Christian Music Festival at Heritage Landing, August 5 through 8. This popular four-day event brings thousands together for nonstop Christian music, worship, fellowship and family fun. Kids can enjoy crafts, games and activities in the Family Fun Zone, while older children can take on a climbing wall, obstacle course and archery tag from CranHill Ranch. Add plenty of food trucks, Meijer’s Affordable Food Tent and delicious ice cream from Country Dairy, and you have four days of music, fun and fellowship for the whole family!

 

And on Sunday, August 8, the Great Lakes Surf Festival takes over Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon from 12:30 to 6:00 p.m. While surfing and board lessons are sold out, there’s still plenty of fun for the whole family.

 

Bring the kids to watch the surfing action, enjoy live music, yoga on the beach, a fun raffle, and delicious food while soaking up a great day on the water. Family passes are just $25, and a free shuttle makes getting to the beach easy!

 

Burning Foot Beer Festival, August 29th, Heritage Landing, Muskegon; 3:00-10:00 p.m.

Looking for a unique summer festival in West Michigan? The Burning Foot Beer Festival returns to Muskegon on August 29 at its new location, Heritage Landing, with beautiful views of Lake Muskegon and plenty of room for RV and tent camping.
