Mackinac State Historic Parks will host ‘Mackinac Birds & Blossoms” at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, starting at the rear entrance of Fort Mackinac.

The wooded paths of Mackinac Island State Park abound in spring wildflowers and colorful songbirds. Meet Mackinac State Historic Parks Park Naturalist Kyle Bagnall behind Fort Mackinac (at the Avenue of Flags entrance) for a meandering walk to enjoy blooming flowers, migrating birds, and other natural wonders.

The walk will cover about 1.5 miles on paved roads as well as some trails with uneven terrain. Guests are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and be prepared for weather. This is a free event with donations welcome.

Many Mackinac State Historic Programs are funded, in part, by Mackinac Associates, friends preserving and sharing Mackinac’s heritage.
