Lakeshore Keepers invites residents and visitors alike to experience two of its most popular summer traditions in 2026: the Night at the Lights concert series at Little Sable Point Lighthouse and Bus Days at Big Sable Point Lighthouse. These events offer unique opportunities to enjoy West Michigan’s historic lighthouses while connecting with the beauty of Lake Michigan and the region’s rich maritime heritage.
The Night at the Lights concert series returns every other Wednesday evening throughout the summer at Little Sable Point Lighthouse. The free concerts begin at 7 p.m. and feature local and regional musicians performing at the base of the historic lighthouse, with Lake Michigan providing a stunning natural backdrop. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music on the lakeshore.
The 2026 concert schedule includes:
-
June 17 – Dave Martin
-
July 1 – John Merchant and Greg Miller
-
July 15 – Steel Doin' It
-
July 29 – Chris Kennedy
-
August 12 – Medicine Men
-
August 26 – Acoustic Oasis
In addition to the concert series, Lakeshore Keepers will once again host six Bus Days at Big Sable Point Lighthouse. Designed to improve accessibility, Bus Days provide transportation from Ludington State Park directly to the lighthouse, allowing visitors to skip the 1.8-mile hike each way. The service makes one of Michigan’s most iconic lighthouses more accessible to families, seniors, and visitors with mobility concerns.
The 2026 Bus Day schedule includes:
-
Saturday, June 27
-
Thursday, July 9
-
Thursday, July 16

Bus service operates from noon to 4:30 p.m. on designated dates. Round-trip tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth ages 17 and under. One-way tickets are also available. Tower climb admission is sold separately.
“Both the concert series and Bus Days are wonderful ways to experience our lighthouses beyond a traditional visit,” said Lakeshore Keepers Marketing Manager Julie Slagter. “These events help us fulfill our mission of preserving our lighthouses while making them accessible and enjoyable for anyone.”
