The Christkindl Markt at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market is excited to announce its first-ever Krampus Bash, taking place Friday, December 19, from 9:00pm–11:00pm in the German-style Beverage Hall. While vendor booths close at 9:00pm, the holiday festivities will continue with an exclusive after-hours celebration featuring seasonal beverages, music, and a special appearance by the iconic Krampus.
Krampus, Santa’s mischievous counterpart from European folklore, is known for his horns, furry costume, long tongue, and playful antics. For one night only, Krampus will take a break from his Alpine duties to serve Christkindl Markt beverages from the main bar, offering guests a unique and festive experience.
Music for the evening will be provided by local personality, DJ AB (Adrian Butler), who will curate a mix of holiday favorites and familiar classics throughout the night. The German-style Beverage Hall will take on an energetic bar atmosphere, offering guests a place to gather, enjoy seasonal drinks, and continue their evening at West Michigan’s largest holiday attraction.
Available beverages for those 21+ will include red and white Glühwein and Dunkelweizen holiday beer, in addition they will serve hot cocoa, hot cider, and Kinderpunsch.
The Krampus Bash has no cover charge and offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to celebrate the season in the glow of the German-style Beverage Hall with friends, family, holiday beverages, and lively entertainment.
