Host of Food Network’s Cheese: A Love Story, he has spent over 25 years mastering cheese and collaborating with leading producers worldwide.
Afrim joins Black Star Farms chef Leah Moerdyk to create a multi-course dinner that pairs artisan cheeses with local ingredients and award-winning estate wines, celebrating the flavors of northern Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula.

The marquee Grand Tasting is the centerpiece of Traverse City Food & Wine—a summer afternoon on West Grand Traverse Bay, where guests sample local dishes and over 100 wines and craft beverages from northern Michigan’s farms, orchards, and waters.
In addition, the Main Stage will feature chef demonstrations and lively conversations with expert insights that bring the art and craft of Michigan food and wine to life throughout the afternoon.
