On Saturday, Sept. 14, John Ball Zoo will release monarch butterflies into the wild so they can begin their migration journey as part of Monarch Day. Along with butterfly releases, the Zoo will provide education about the role pollinators play in our natural environment and how everyone can help monarchs and other pollinator species flourish in the wild.
Entertainment throughout the day will include musical performances, rotating character meet-and-greets, a story time event and aerial performance. More information about the event is available on John Ball Zoo’s website.
