Holland Street Performer Series – Now through August 13; 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

If you are looking for some free summer fun, then mark your calendar because the Gentex Street Performer Series is back and bringing the energy to Downtown Holland! Every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 through August 13th, 8th Street transforms into an outdoor venue packed with talented entertainers ready to make your night a whole lot more fun. You never know what you'll find from week to week—musicians, jugglers, balloon artists, henna tattoo artists, caricature artists, break dancers, and more. With portions of 8th Street closed to traffic and the Downtown Holland Social District open, it's the perfect excuse to stroll, sip, shop, and enjoy the performances.

Lowell Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts - June 18 to August 13;  Thursday dates all summer;7:00 p.m.

And speaking of Thursday night traditions, Lowell's Sizzlin' Summer Concerts are turning up the volume all season long! Beginning June 18th at 7:00 p.m.  and continuing every Thursday through August 13th, these free concerts take over Riverwalk Plaza in front of the iconic Lowell Showboat. The season kicks off with crowd favorite The Soul Syndicate, bringing plenty of soul, funk, and rhythm and blues to get the summer started right. Just grab a lawn chair, bring your friends and family, and settle in for a great night of music. You can grab a beverage from participating Lowell Social District restaurants or enjoy food from the concession stands while you soak up this wonderful summer tradition. 

 

Lakeshore Art Festival, Downtown Muskegon; June 27 and 28th; 9:00 a.m.  - 5:00 p.m. 

Get ready to head to Downtown Muskegon for one of West Michigan's biggest celebrations of creativity—the Lakeshore Art Festival on June 27th and June 28th.  Eight city blocks come alive with more than 250 juried artists and specialty craft exhibitors, an artisan food market, live street performers, a Children's Lane packed with hands-on activities and an area called Michigan Author’s Alley where you can chat with Michigan authors, and have your book signed too. There are plenty of opportunities to get creative yourself at interactive art stations, and watching artists create live works right before your eyes is always a highlight. Whether you're an art lover, foodie, music fan, or just looking for a great summer outing, the Lakeshore Art Festival delivers a full weekend of fun for all ages.
