Holland Civic Center Executive Director, Chris Hart, has announced his retirement from the Center. Since being named Executive Director in 2019, Hart has been an instrumental force in transforming the Holland Civic Center Place into a world-class entertainment venue, and his dedication to the city and the company has left an indelible mark. Under Hart's guidance, the Holland Civic Center Place has evolved into a first-class destination for entertainment, culture, and community engagement. His visionary leadership has brought numerous groundbreaking events and performances to Holland, enhancing its cultural landscape, and drawing visitors from near and far. Steve Peters, CEO of VenuWorks, praised Harts leadership, saying, “Chris has been a stalwart leader at the Civic Center through COVID and leading the resurgence and success at the center. We wish him the best as he continues to serve the community in other capacities.” Hart’s last day will be November 3. Jerramiah Chabitch, the center’s current Food & Beverage Manager/Executive Chef has been named Interim Director until a national search can be conducted. Hart stated: "It has been an incredible honor to lead our team with the guidance and support of Venuworks over the years. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to work with our dedicated staff and board members, as well as the unwavering support of our community. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones and created positive change in the lives of countless individuals."
