Downtown Holland will host its first ever Taste of Downtown Holland Fundraiser this fall on
Friday, September 12 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Warehouse 6 Events! At the Taste of Downtown Holland,
ticket holders are invited to indulge in an evening of delicious bites, sweet treats, and drinks from everyone’s
favorite Downtown Holland establishments...all for a great cause!
“We’re so excited about the opportunity to showcase the culinary talents behind our Downtown Holland
dining establishments at the Taste of Downtown Holland next month,” said Downtown Holland Marketing
Coordinator Kara de Alvare. “And with local beverages provided by our very own Big Lake Brewing and New
Holland Brewing, amazing silent auction donations, and live music, ticket holders have an incredible evening
to look forward to in support of Downtown Holland.
At the Taste of Downtown Holland, attendees will be invited to indulge in small plates and desserts from a
selection of popular Downtown Holland establishments, all while enjoying live music, a silent auction, local
beer, wine, and more! Attendees can choose between an early evening ticket (5:00 pm – 7:00 pm) or a late
ticket (7:00 pm – 9:00 pm). Only 300 total tickets are available for the event. Tickets are $100 per person and
include small plates and desserts, non-alcoholic beverages, and two drink tickets for those ages 21+ with
proper ID. Additional drink tickets will also be available for purchase with a cash or card.
Attendees are encouraged sure to check out the silent auction items on display at the event as well, which
include gift baskets, gift cards, exclusive experiences, and more, all donated by Downtown Holland retailers
and other Downtown organizations. The Downtown Holland staff will contact the winning bidder for each
auction item by phone or email on Monday, September 15. All auction items will be available for pick-up at
the Downtown Holland offices inside the Holland Civic Center (150 West 8th Street) the week of September
15. Cash, check, and credit card will all be accepted for payment.
Proceeds from the Taste of Downtown Holland will support community events organized and paid for by the
City of Holland’s Principal Shopping District (PSD), which are currently funded in part by an annual tax
assessment paid by Downtown Holland business owners located within the PSD boundaries. The proceeds
from the fundraiser will help ensure that the assessment remains affordable for small business owners this
year and in years to come. Events supported by the fundraiser include the upcoming Downtown Holland Fall
Fest, the Parade of Lights, Holland on Ice, Girlfriends Weekend, the Street Performer Series, and more.
