St. Cecilia Music Center (SCMC) announces the upcoming 2026-2027 Season of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) Series and Spectacular Jazz Series. Subscription tickets are now on sale offering outstanding performances by world-renowned chamber and jazz musicians.
The new season celebrates SCMC’s milestone 15-year partnership with Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, with the addition of a fourth concert to the series, featuring world-class chamber music musicians. These CMS concerts feature the best chamber music artists in the world. This season they will eloquently perform the following concerts: Dvořák, Debussy, and Chaminade on October 29, 2026; Rhapsody in Blue (four-hands piano) featuring works by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Dvořák, and Gershwin on February 4, 2027; String Radiance works by composers Boccherini (1780), Dvořák (1878) and D’Ambrosio (1900) on March 18, 2027; and The Great Clarinet Quintets – Brahms and Mozart on April 22, 2027.
Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center is the world’s largest international chamber music producing and presenting organization. Under the leadership of Co-Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han, CMS comprises a multi-generational and international roster of the finest chamber musicians in the world.
The Spectacular Jazz Series brings world renowned artists performing four concerts at SCMC in the 2026-2027 Season.
- One of the most celebrated Jazz pianists in the world, Kenny Barron, launches the Spectacular Jazz Series on October 8, 2026;
- Two World-renowned Grammy Award Winning jazz artists, guitarist John Scofield and bassist Dave Holland, will light up Royce Auditorium stage on February 18, 2027;
- Grammy Award winning jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant with Award winning pianist Sullivan Fortner will feature their newest album release on March 25, 2027;
- The final Jazz Series concert on April 15, 2027 brings Multi-Grammy Award winning artists the Branford Marsalis Quartet appearing with 5-time Grammy Award Winning Jazz Vocalist Dianna Reeves on a world-wide tour performing from their 2026 album celebrating the legendary John Coltrain (To be released in September).
All concerts are now available through series subscriptions which offer a 15-20% discount on single ticket prices.

Thursday, October 29, 2026 – “Dvořák, Debussy, and Chaminade”
Co-Artistic Directors Cellist David Finckel and Pianist Wu Han will perform along with Cellist Edward Arron, Pianist Anna Geniushene, Violinist Chad Hoopes, and Violinist Arnaud Sussmann. The October CMS program features the works of 18thcentury composers Debussy, Chaminade, and Dvořák.
Thursday, February 4, 2027 – “Rhapsody in Blue”
With “Rhapsody in Blue” experience the joy of “four hands”, two pianos side by side, performing works by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Dvořák, and Gershwin. This stunning array of repertoire for pianos will highlight the talent of four world-renowned pianists of Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center – Michael Stephen Brown, Orion Weiss, Wu Han, and Wu Quin. “Great pianos can do anything, from roaring like a lion to singing like a soprano. Thursday, March 18, 2027 – “String Radiance”
In March 2027, CMS brings six world-renowned string musicians to St. Cecilia Music Center to perform “String Radiance”, the works of composers from the 1700’s through 1900, from Boccherini (1780) and Dvořák (1878) to D’Ambrosio (1900). This program with violin, viola, and cello, includes world-class musicians performing: Nicolas Canellakis is one of the most sought-after and innovative cellists of his generation, praised in the New Yorker as a “superb young soloist”; Violist Paul Neubauer is hailed by the New York Times as a “master musician,”; Violist Milena Pájaro-van de Stadt is a frequent soloist with the Tokyo Philharmonic, the Jacksonville Symphony, the Sphinx Chamber Orchestra and other chamber music concerts throughout the U.S.; Korean-American violinist Julian Rhee is the winner of the prestigious 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant; and Cellist Jonathan Swensen is the recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant and joint first prize of the Naumburg International Cello Competition.
Thursday, April 22, 2027 – “Mozart & Brahms – The Great Clarinet Quintets”
The final CMS concert celebrates a pairing of history’s most famous clarinet quintets, where two composers near the ends of their lives expressed their most personal thoughts. Coincidentally inspired by prominent clarinetists of their times, each used the instrument in his own way – Brahms mining the clarinet’s soulful quality and Mozart displaying its effortless effervescence. CMS musicians performing include American violinist Stella Chen, Cellist Clive Greensmith, American violinist Chad Hoopes, Violist Timothy Ridout, and Clarinetist Sebastian Manz.

Thursday, October 8, 2026 – Kenny Barron Trio
The Kenny Barron Trio on October 8th brings Barron’s elegant rhythms to the Royce Auditorium Stage. Honored by the National Endowment for the Arts as a 2010 Jazz Master, Kenny Barron has an unmatched ability to mesmerize audiences with his elegant playing, sensitive melodies, and infectious rhythms. The Los Angeles Times named him “one of the top jazz pianists in the world” and Jazz Weekly called him “the most lyrical piano player of our time.”
Thursday, February 18, 2027 – John Scofield & Dave Holland Duo
February’s Spectacular Jazz Series concert featuring jazz guitarist John Scofield and bassist Dave Holland. This powerful jazz duo released Memories of Home on ECM Records in November 2025. Both are recognized without dispute as the finest jazz interpreters on their respective instruments. Performing as a duo, these longtime colleagues bring their diverse musical backgrounds and infinite talents to the stage, each contributing original compositions to their set list and putting their stamp on a selection of jazz standards as well.
Thursday, March 25, 2027 – Cécile McLorin Salvant & Sullivan Fortner
Two powerhouse Grammy-Award winners team up in March on the Spectacular Jazz Series. Jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant and pianist, composer and band leader Sullivan Fortner will perform from their Grammy-Award winning Best Jazz Vocal Album - The Window featuring Cecile McLorin Salvant, and on which Fortner served as both keyboard player and producer. Fortner has also earned Grammy nods for his 2023 release Solo Game and his provocative arrangement of “Optimistic Voices/No Love Dying” from Salvant’s 2022 release Ghost Song.
Thursday, April 15, 2027 – Branford Marsalis & Dianne Reeves
The final Spectacular Jazz Series concert features the brilliant Branford Marsalis Quartet with five-time Grammy Award winning jazz vocalist Dianne Reeves. This special evening will honor one of jazz’s most transcendent voices – John Coltrane. In Fall of 2026 the Branford Marsalis Quartet and Dianne Reeves will release a tribute album (on Blue Note Records) which revisits Coltrane’s seminal 1963 collaboration with Johnny Hartman to be followed by a worldwide tour. Single tickets for the Chamber Music Society and Jazz Series go on sale May 29, 2026. The Acoustic Café Folk Series Concerts will be announced on June 16 and single tickets for those shows go on sale June 19 to the general public. Subscribers to the CMS and/or Jazz Series have early access to folk series tickets.
