Apple Fest & Craft Show and Trinkets and Treasures in Coldwater - September 19; 9:00-3:00 p.m.
If you’re looking for a fun fall day trip tomorrow, head to historic downtown Coldwater for the annual Apple Fest and Craft Show! More than 220 vendors will fill downtown with arts and crafts, food, live music—and, of course, plenty of apples! Treat yourself to fresh apple cider, pies, donuts, fritters and all kinds of delicious baked goods while you stroll through the festival and shop from local vendors. And while you’re in Coldwater, make a stop at Tibbits Opera House from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Trinkets and Treasures. Browse a great selection of donated treasures and one-of-a-kind finds while supporting this historic theatre and its musical organization. I’d say that’s two great reasons to spend tomorrow in beautiful Coldwater!
Art Prize Grand Opening -Party the Patio at the Amway Wolfgang Puck Kitchen - September 18 - October 3
ArtPrize is back in Grand Rapids, and the city is ready to celebrate! This year’s ArtPrize is the biggest ever, with more than 1,000 artists and 159 venues—and a brand-new theme: Grand Rapids, Art City USA!
The Grand Opening celebration kicks off tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Rosa Parks Circle. Join the Opening Parade as it makes its way to the Pearl Street Bridge, where you’ll find music, drinks on the bridge bar, and plenty of opportunities to meet, mingle and celebrate.
Then, get ready for something truly spectacular! William Close and the Earth Harp Collective will deliver a one-of-a-kind musical performance featuring the world’s longest stringed instrument, stretched across the Pearl Street Bridge. It’s an immersive experience that turns the bridge itself into an incredible musical instrument!
And the launch celebration ends with fireworks over the Grand River at 9:30 p.m.
And if you’re looking for a special way to celebrate, there’s still time to grab a $35 ticket to the Party on the Patio at The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck. Enjoy food, cocktails, music and art—all on the patio. Come dressed in your most artful look and celebrate the opening of ArtPrize in style!
