South Haven is kicking off the holiday season with the return of their annual Holiday in the Park event. On November 29, 2024, guests are encouraged to visit downtown South Haven to enjoy a day of festive-themed events.

"The holiday season in Southwest Michigan is magical, and we are excited to share that joy with our entire community," said Jennifer Sistrunk, executive director of the South Haven Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau. "We’ll have a day of fun activities, offering something special for everyone to enjoy!"

From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to visit and take complimentary photos with Santa, his reindeer, Mrs. Claus and their elves. During Holiday in the Park, guests can also experience the City Hall community tree lighting at 5:30 p.m., hosted by Paul Layendecker of 103.7 COSY FM.

Other activities include ornament crafting at the South Haven Center for the Arts, a Holiday Scavenger Hunt with The Mitten Children’s Museum, ice skating at the South Haven Ice Rink until 8:00 p.m., and strolling through the Corewell Health Hospice Luminary Path. Guests can also prepare s'mores or enjoy treats from the Sweet Escape Coffee and Dessert Truck in Dykman Park.
