This November, BaySide Inn is inviting the community to experience the fall atmosphere of downtown Saugatuck during our Open House on November 12 from 7–9 p.m. Guests can stop in, take a peek around the historic waterfront inn, enjoy live music and light refreshments, and see the spaces that have welcomed visitors to Saugatuck for generations.
There is no reservation required and no expectation to stay. Just come in, look around, and enjoy an evening by the river. A giveaway and a special room offer will also give guests the opportunity to turn a casual visit into a future getaway.
There is a particular pleasure to visiting Saugatuck when the pace has slowed down. The sidewalks are a little quieter, the river takes center stage, and there is more time to linger over coffee, wander through town without a plan, or settle into a cozy corner and let the afternoon unfold. At BaySide Inn, that slower rhythm is part of the experience.
And for those already dreaming about their next reason to visit, or planning a winter escape, February brings something new to BaySide.
From February 5–7, the inn will host a Galentine’s weekend centered around friendship, creativity, and enjoying the simple luxury of having nowhere else to be. One of the weekend’s highlights will be a hand-tied bouquet-making class held right at the inn with The Flower Patch of Holland, with all supplies included. Guests will have the chance to create their own arrangements while spending time together, followed by all the other little pleasures that make a winter weekend in Saugatuck worthwhile.
There will be breakfast by the fireplace, time to explore downtown, and plenty of opportunity to settle in and enjoy the waterfront without the bustle of summer.
It is perhaps the best argument for visiting Saugatuck in the off-season: you get to experience the town without rushing through it.
Whether you come through BaySide’s doors for an evening in November or gather your favorite people for a February weekend, the invitation is simple. Take your time. Stay awhile. Let Saugatuck surprise you when the town is at its most unhurried.
