Visual Art

West Michigan offers a wide variety of visual arts. Take a stop in Frankfort at the Elizabeth Lake Oliver Center for the Arts to view the gallery full of beautiful work or take a ceramics class and learn how to create pottery. On your next visit to St. Joseph don’t forget to visit the Krasl Art Center. They regularly have numerous exhibits that are sure to peak your interest!

Don’t forget to visit the Muskegon Museum of Art the next time you’re in Muskegon. They often have changing exhibitions of paintings, sculpture, glass, and prints from their collection.

Visual Art & Music

You won’t want to miss the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids where you can spend time in the greenhouse taking in the beautiful flowers and plants or outside wandering the sculpture park. If you’re visiting in the summer make sure to check out their outdoor concert series as well!

Dale and Gail’s Music and Art Gallery located in Hart, has a lobby full of Gail’s Fine Artwork and the theatre is home to Dale’s 4 Keyboard Theatre organ. Be sure to check out this beautiful 1927 historic theatre on your next trip.

Music

Grand Haven Waterfront/Musical Fountain is a large display of synchronized water, lights, and music. You can sit on Dewey Hill and look across the Grand River as it leads into Lake Michigan at the beautiful display!

The Michigan Irish Music Festival happens each year in Muskegon. The event is filled with continuous music on seven different stages. Along with the music there’s countless activities and great food for everyone!

Visit the Music House Museum in Williamsburg to learn more about the history of music. They offer a unique collection of instruments from over the years that enable you to learn about the formation of automated music.

The Devos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids brings everything from the ballet to the Grand Rapids Symphony on to its stage. Their wide variety of showings are sure to peak your interest.

The Great Lakes Center for the Arts located in Bay Harbor seeks to bring you the best performing arts experiences through year-round world-class performances. They have everything from concerts to comedians to give you the best experience!

Performing Arts

Barn Theatre School for Advanced Theatre Training is the perfect place to stop in Augusta for all your theatre needs. With several shows each season you’re sure to find one to your liking.

The Capri Drive-In Theatre in Coldwater country shows a wide range of movies with room for 900 cars. They also have two-screens for showing and plenty of concessions for the whole family!

On your next trip to Kalamazoo be sure to buy tickets to a show at Farmers Alley Theatre. They offer a wide variety of shows that appeal to all ages!

You won’t want to miss out on a showing at Harbor Springs Lyric Theatre! They show first run, classic and family favorites, all at a great price.
