Description
Opened in 1991, the Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College is a premier cultural facility in northern Michigan offering a dynamic array of exhibitions and programs in the visual arts, sciences, and performing arts.The permanent collection features regional, national, and international art from the 19th - 21st centuries. The Museum's signature collection is Inuit art of the Canadian Arctic, one of the largest and most historically complete collections of these distinctive sculptures and prints in the United States. A significant collection of outdoor sculptures by noted international and Michigan artists surrounds the Museum on the beautiful campus of Northwestern Michigan College.

Admission:

  • Adults: $6.00

  • Children 17 & Under: $4.00

  • Children 4 & Under: Free

  • Members: Free

  • NMC Students & Faculty: Free

  • Museums For All*: Free

  • Active Duty Military & Families: Free


*EBT (bridge) card holders receive up to four free admissions as part of the Museums for All program.

In the event we reach capacity, there may be wait times to enter the museum.

COVID-19 Policies:

  • Per NMC policy, face coverings are required to enter the museum

  • Please practice social distancing of six feet

  • The museum has a total occupancy of 50 during our first phase of reopening.

  • The museum store has a total occupancy of 4 during our first phase of reopening.

  • All patrons will be asked to utilize hand sanitizer stations upon entering the building.

  • Please stay home and enjoy our virtual programs if you are sick or symptomatic.

  • During this time, the Milliken Auditorium and lobby, Dutmers Theatre, and the Rutkowski Discovery Gallery are closed.
