Frederik Meijer Fred & Dorothy Fichter Gardens Butterflies are Blooming – Now thru April 30

Spring is finally here and things are blooming. And so are the annual Butterflies at Frederik Meijer Gardens. It is such a spectacle of wonder and delight to stroll through this sun-filled conservatory and watch hundreds of butterflies, of vibrant colors and over 60 different species, dance among the plants and trees and even on the heads and hands of awe-struck visitors.  Be sure to gaze up close into the glass-paned box of hanging chrysalis, many in different stages, just waiting to emerge from their cocoon of slumber. This is the largest temporary tropical exhibit of butterflies in the US, so don’t miss this opportunity to observe this living canvas of color and motion now through April 30.

WMTA Live Camera Gallery

All day, every day you can view LIVE some of your favorite towns and places with the WMTA Live Camera feeds, which you will easily find on our website – WMTA.org.  Throughout West Michigan and the UP, these cameras provide a window to not only the weather, but also, the comings and goings of people, animals, ferries, and ski resorts, to name a few.  Especially popular is the live feed at Battle Creek’s Binder Park Zoo located in their Red Panda Exhibit and the Grand River scenes outside the Grand Rapids Public Museum. This is a really fun hobby for many and if you’ve never viewed the action, you might just become a steady fan of viewing your favorite spots in West Michigan, far away, in real time.
