The Lake Michigan College Mendel Center is the region’s premier location for performing arts and events.  Located on the Lake Michigan College Napier Avenue Campus in Benton Harbor, the Mendel Center hosts more than 40,000 annual visitors.

Patrons enjoy world-class performances in the 1,559-seat Mendel Center Mainstage, performances by LMC music and theater students in the intimate setting of the Hanson Theatre, and a wide range of trade shows, meetings, weddings, and events in the Grand Upton Hall and surrounding meeting rooms.

The Mendel Center Mainstage is recognized for its outstanding acoustic quality, professional-level artist accommodations, and technical specifications able to handle the largest of productions. Patrons often comment that the Mendel Center Mainstage is their favorite venue for live theater and entertainment because of its welcoming atmosphere, excellent sound quality, good sight lines from every seat in the houses, and overall comfort and ease of accessibility.

This full-service venue provides onsite food preparation, full beverage service, professional technical staff, and a team of experienced event planners. Free parking. Fully handicap accessible. Service animals are welcome.
