To be held at Pere Marquette Beach Park in Muskegon. The first annual Great Lakes Surf Festival will welcome all SUPers, Surfers, Kiteboarders, Kayakers, Windsurfers, Artists, and Yogis. With direct beach-side tent and RV camping available and numerous reps and regional retailers on hand, this event is geared to accommodate everyone from the extreme athlete to the novice seeking to entry the world of boardsports. Imagine a late summer day on an amazing beach, doing what you love and surrounded by so many people from all over the Great Lakes, who share the same passion!

The Great Lakes Surf Festival is the brainchild of Joe Bidawid, one of the most influential and highly accomplished Great Lakes Water athletes.  Bidawid, a former professional windsurfer, is credited with pioneering both Kiteboarding and SUP on the Great Lakes and is also an accomplished surfer. He has been riding the Great Lakes for nearly thirty years and is a highly respected individual in the boardsports industry.

The goal of our festival is to bring people together and most of the water activities will focus on fun for all ages and a safe family atmosphere.
