Final Days of BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise at John Ball Zoo!

If you haven’t had the opportunity to see BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise visiting John Ball Zoo this season your time is running short.

All season John Ball Zoo has hosted BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise which is a unique traveling exhibition originating from Great Britain that features more than 40 life-sized animal sculptures created with over 1.8 million individually colored toy building bricks.

The final day that John Ball Zoo guests will be able to see this fun and educational exhibition is Sunday, November 8. It will then be sent to its next location at Naples Zoo.

The exhibition of sculptures are located throughout the Zoo for guests to enjoy during their visit. Along with sculptures of animals not at John Ball Zoo, there are many John Ball Zoo favorites like the African lion, snow leopard, and ring-tailed lemur. After checking out these amazing sculptures, guests can then visit their live counterparts who reside at the Zoo.

BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise features sculptures of endangered animals to not only entertain but also educate children and families about the importance of the preservation of endangered species.

The sculptures also feature facts such as the size of each sculpture, how many bricks were used to build each one, and the amount of time it took to create. The exhibition includes a lifesized elephant built using over 149,000 building bricks and measures 11 feet long and 7 feet high.

John Ball Zoo has updated their open schedule because of the change in season. The Zoo is open during the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and closed Monday-Thursday. The Zoo’s final weekend of the 2020 season is November 20, 21 and 22.

Due to the need to limit the number of guests for social distancing, the Zoo highly recommends reserving timed admission tickets prior to arrival. Tickets can be reserved online at www.jbzoo.org. John Ball Zoo is located on Fulton Ave., one mile west of downtown Grand Rapids.
