It has been said that "no other creature can transcend earth, evoke beauty, inspire dreams, and ground us in nature as does even the smallest bird." Young birders are invited to enjoy a hot breakfast in the Institute's dining room before hiking the trails in search of Michigan's many bird species. Participants will be joined by Michigan Audobon's Young Birders Club, a youth birding organization focused on taking participants under their "wings" and educating them about the avian world. The program is geared toward youth ages 7 and above but is appropriate for an "fledgling" (inexperienced) birder. Please register by June 20.
