Tibbits Opera House announces the return of its annual Kids’ Art Rocks! contest and exhibit, inviting young artists from preschool to grade 12 to showcase their creativity and talent. All artwork submissions will be displayed at Tibbits Art Gallery from April 30 to June 24.

Kids’ Art Rocks! offers a platform for budding artists to explore various artistic mediums and themes, from vibrant paintings to intricate drawings and everything in between. Each student is invited to submit one piece of artwork, with prizes including art supply giveaways and the chance to have their work framed and displayed in a local business.

Since its inception, Kids’ Art Rocks! has celebrated the creativity of hundreds of student artists, providing a platform for them to share their unique perspectives with the community. There is no cost to enter, and all submissions will be showcased in an exhibit at Tibbits Art Gallery.

A special reception will be held on June 24 from 6-7pm, where participating artists and their families can celebrate their achievements and enjoy art supply giveaways. Additionally, businesses attending the reception will have the opportunity to select artwork for sponsorship and display.

Three judges will choose the top 15 pieces, which will be framed and available for businesses to rent for one year at a rental fee of $100. Young artists will have the honor of having their artwork displayed, and at the end of the year, they will receive their framed art back.

To participate, student artists can drop off their artwork at the Tibbits Administration Office, located at 93 W. Chicago St., by April 19. Parent permission and biography forms are required for each artist and are available at Tibbits.org.
