Air Zoo’s 45th Anniversary Celebration – November 16 in Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo’s Air Zoo is gearing up for an exciting celebration on November 16, 2023, as it marks its 45th anniversary! Since opening in 1978, the Air Zoo has welcomed families to explore the wonders of aviation, and this milestone celebration will be no exception. Guests can enjoy 45% off tickets from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., along with special activities throughout the day. One of the highlights is the Paper Airplane Championship, where participants aged 10 and up can test their STEAM skills in crafting and launching paper planes, with registration available online. Visitors can also experience thrilling flight simulators, perform aerial stunts in a 3D stunt plane, and explore amusement rides for an added dose of family fun. Lest We Forget Patriotic Concert – November 10 in Harbor Springs

Lest We Forget, a nonprofit dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifices of U.S. veterans, will host a Veterans Day Patriotic Concert on November 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Join the 90-piece South Shore Concert Band at Lake Michigan College’s Mendel Center for an inspiring afternoon of music. Veterans who served in Vietnam are invited to take part in a commemorative activity by signing a map indicating their area of service. Photographs will also be taken from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. for veterans, with copies mailed to participants after the event.

Windmill Island Gardens’ Mod Podge Pumpkin Workshop – November 12 in Holland
