Join the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary for a pair of birding experiences, both set for Thursday, Oct. 22.
The Sanctuary’s final monthly birding hike of the year is set for 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 22. Sanctuary staff will lead a hike around the trails while identifying birds by sight and sound. Sanctuary members attend for free; for non-members, admission is $7/adults, $6/seniors and students, and $5/children ages 2-17.
Later that same day, an Owl Prowl will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Sanctuary’s auditorium and grounds. One of the Sanctuary’s ambassador owls will make an appearance to start the event, then attendees will take a nighttime walk along the trails to call for owls and listen for their responses.
Admission for members is $7 for adults, $6 for students and seniors, and $5 for children ages 2-17. For non-members, admission is $9 for adults, $8 for students or seniors, and $7 for children. Register by Tuesday, Oct. 20, at bit.ly/kbs-owl-prowl-2026.
