High Caliber Karting & Entertainment; 4th Annual Meridian Motorfest; September 1, 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.

High Caliber Karting & Entertainment is excited to once again host the 4th annual Meridian Motorfest on September 1st.  Car enthusiasts from all over Michigan can stroll through the rows and rows of souped up vehicles at  the Meridian Mall from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. or register to enter the classes and many contests at this high octane event. This event is free, but entering your vehicle and participating in the contests costs a mere $20.00 with all proceeds benefiting Elie’s Place. Bring the whole family and have a blast smashing cars, riding on the Monster Truck, jumping in the huge inflatable playground or going on a scavenger hunt. If you have a car you want to show off now's the time!  Because this show has a crazy amount of classes that you could win and each class entry is only $5.00.  

 

White Lake Area Chamber 18th Annual Community Walk, September 2, 10:00 - 11:00 am.

There is something to be said about tradition and the White Lake Area has been walking together for 18 years  as a community, on Labor Day.  Join the White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau, along with the Cities of Montague and Whitehall, who are once again teaming up for their Annual Labor Day Community Walk.  Everyone is welcome on September 2nd, beginning at 10 a.m. to participate in this fun walking tradition. Beginning at the Hart-Montague Bike Trailhead, community leaders and Michiganders will walk across the White River Bridge and pathways along the lakeshore. At the end of your morning walk, stick around for healthy refreshments or explore all the beauty and points of interest this area has to offer. 

 

Grand Rapids Public Museum, Robot Zoo; Now through September 22; most days 9:00-5:00 p.m.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum has a very dynamic and interactive exhibit going on now through September 22nd, that will engage children and adults alike with fascinating hands-on fun.  The Robot Zoo is something you won’t want to miss. It explores numerous real-life animals in a way that illustrates their unique characteristics through a mechanical robot view. Imagine a giant squid propelling itself, a very tall giraffe, a chameleon that changes color or a robot fly walking on the ceiling! Admission allows you to view all of the Museum’s exhibits. The Grand Rapids Public Museum is open most days from 9:00 - 5:00 pm., but will be closed on Labor Day.
