Tibbits Opera House- Rodger’s & Hammerstein Cinderella: Tonight at 7 p.m. and Tomorrow at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
I imagine pretty much everyone has heard of the story Cinderella, but just in case, let me give you a refresh. The story is about a young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother and self-centered step sisters. She dreams of a better life and with the help of her fairy godmother, Cinderella is transformed into a princess and finds her handsome prince and lives happily ever after. Well, it’s not too late to channel your inner princess and take in this delightful musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein at Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater. The show runs tonight, and then 2 more shows tomorrow. You can purchase a crown or tiara and indulge in princess photo opportunities throughout the night too.

W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary- Mothers Day: May 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The weather is looking warm and sunny for this Sunday so the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day is with a visit to the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary in Augusta. And the best part - Moms get in Free! Enjoy the company of those you love, some fresh spring air, the beautiful serenity of the park-like atmosphere and tranquil lake that is home to many nesting birds. The May theme in the indoor Overlook Building is Birds and Nests, and you can explore the world of nature and art with their planned activities and build-a-nest challenge. Pages of the storybook, “ Birdsong,'' by Julie Flett will be located along the outdoor accessible paved walkway and you’ll enjoy reading them as you stroll. The WK Kellogg Bird Sanctuary is committed to conservation and sustainability - kind of like Mom. Always conserving the peace and sustaining her family, so this seems like the ideal place to spend the day.
