Holiday in the Park This past Friday, November 25th, South Haven hosted Holiday in the Park, a celebration to kick off the holiday season. Located in downtown Dyckman Park, bring your family and friends out for an evening of fun. Go ice skating under colorful lights in the outdoor ice rink, enjoy some delicious s’mores by a campfire, and get family pictures with Santa and his elves! Not to mention, the local shops and boutiques will have plenty of fantastic deals for you to peruse, perfect to get ahead on gift shopping or find yourself something nice as you walk through the holiday luminaries. The night will be filled with holiday magic, so be sure to come out and enjoy! Holland Parade of Lights Santa Claus will be making a special appearance at Downtown Holland’s Parade of Lights on Tuesday November 29th. His arrival will be escorted by 75 floats, trucks, antique cars, walkers, and marching bands… all glittering with thousands of lights! This is an annual holiday tradition beloved by the community, so don’t miss out! The parade is fun for the entire family, filled with great music, laughter, cheer, spirit, and of course, lights! The parade will be a fun spectacle everyone can enjoy — so make sure to head over to Holland! Michigan Maritime Museum The Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven is hosting a variety of fun holiday events this season, beginning on Saturday, December 3rd. North Pole natives Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in town ready to hear everyone’s Christmas lists and take pictures with the family. Later in the month, get into the spirit of the season with The Christmas Ship Concert, performed by renowned Great Lakes folk singer Lee Murdock. He performs a boundless body of music about the history of the Great Lakes region. This concert will be held on Wednesday, December 14th beginning at 6:30 pm. On Saturday, December 17th, come visit the museum to hear Captain Bob Harnish as he reads children’s books about the Christmas Tree Ship.
