Blandford Nature Center’s annual Nature Makers Market is back.  Come one, come all to this nature-inspired event on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at  Blandford Nature Center, 1715 Hillburn Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.

The Nature Makers Market features Grand Rapids-area artists and vendors who create  products inspired by nature or use natural, sustainable materials to create them. This year, nearly 30 local artists will be selling textiles, prints, ceramics, glassworks, jewelry, stationery,  stickers and more.

“This is a great opportunity for our community to connect with local artists and perhaps find a  gift for mom, as Mother’s Day is just around the corner,” said Camilla Voelker, Blandford’s  community programs manager. “And while you’re here, you might even want to take a walk in  the woods.”

Vendors include: Merry Little Forest Child, Forest Press Co, Knot Ur Mother's Macrame, Light  Journey, Miss Nanny Falanny, Querkus Creative, Woven Apothecary, Jewel of the Forest,  Thiago Porraz Art, Sue Van Dame Jewelry, Moonflower Embroidery, Silverthorn Pottery,  Michael Myers Wood Turning, 1932 Naturals, Glass for Bugs, earth.wind.fire pottery, Gail  Long Textiles, Jillian Braid Stained Glass, Slipshore, Gathered Botanicals, Artifex Impressions,  Nature Walk, Spring Thaw Design, Amber Rae Ceramics, Empress North, Honeydew  Woodworks, Birds of the Air, Astounding Illustrations

Guests also are invited to visit the Blandford Nature Center Gift Shop for other nature-themed  merchandise. All proceeds support Blandford operations. Coffee and donuts from Olly’s  Donuts will be available for purchase, too.
